Photography, travel and colour are my obsessions and are essential elements of my art practice. I photo-document daily life and use this source material to produce work that incorporates both print and sculptural media. My camera is always with me and wherever I am, I observe, record and explore the commonality of everyday life, often finding humour within this.
My work is about people and their everyday journeys. I am interested in the common person in their local environment with a focus on people’s everyday experiences. My subject matter is deliberately non heroic, my photographs are not posed and a lot of the people in my work appear to be captured almost by accident.
Through the use of photography, contemporary and traditional printmaking methods, cyanotype and sculptural processes, I produce series of work that investigate the ordinary.
