The beautiful Greek Island of SKOPELOS in the northern Sporades is green & heavily treed, unlike so many of the dry and barren Greek Islands. Originally STEPH went to the island in 2004 to do an Artists Residency & quickly fell in love with the island and its people.
Since 2011 STEPH has spent up to six months of each year on this island. The contrast with her life in Melbourne is profound. The simplicity of life on Skopelos keeps bringing her back.
Since 2011 she has had 5 residencies at Mylos Print Studio & in 2016 converted an old apartment located in the grounds of a monastery into a fabulous studio. It had been used as a goat pen for many years. After a big clean up, a couple of pressure cleans, a bit of repair work & a lick of paint, STEPH & her husband transformed this space into a lovely studio.
